Best ice-cream in Canada

Being a huge fan of sweets and especially ice-cream, I can honestly say I've discovered ice-cream heaven. After trying Earnest ice-cream, I don't think I could ever eat regular ice-cream again. Earnest is located in the middle of a neighborhood (basically like where all great eats are located in B.C.). Their restaurant closed at 10:00PM that night I went but there was a line up probably up to half a block long (I arrived at around 9:40PM), so you can see how popular it is. They only have a few ice-cream flavors but they're all delicious! They also sell pint sized ice-cream containers. I have nothing more to say other than everyone around the world needs to check out Earnest and someone needs to franchise a shop in every city!
Their ice-cream flavors
Absolutely packed at closing!
I got London Fog and Salted Caramel but another favorite of mine is the Whiskey Hazelnut (strong in nutty richness!)

Bubble waffle heaven!

If you live in Vancouver or know of people who live in Vancouver, you might be familiar with Bubble Queen located in Central Richmond. They're known for their chocolate flavored bubble teas but besides that, they have a wide variety of other flavors and my favorite is their bubble waffle menu!
With too many options to choose from, I settled with the Original Milk Tea,
Bueno chocolate
Oreo and Taro bubble waffles, the taro was my favorite!

Cutlet house

While walking around downtown Vancouver, my friends and I discovered Dae-Ji, a Korean cutlet house. They had a few of their dishes out on display in the front window and our stomachs knew we had to stop by for lunch! The interior was adorable and the food was good, the portions were very filling and we could add extra things like egg or cheese for $0.99! The only thing that would prevent me from returning is the wait time for our food. We probably waited nearly an hour for our food to come out.
(I have no idea who that is but I thought the tree was really pretty)
Chicken cutlet
Fish cutlet (I highly recommend this one among the three)

Coal Harbour

Vancouver is a beautiful city but within this city, there are certain places you NEED to visit in order to see how beautiful it can get. Coal Harbour is one of those places and what better way to enjoy the view then over dinner? There are Cactus Club Cafes scattered throughout the city but this one was especially wonderful because of the size of the restaurant and definitely the view. I noticed that every restaurant I visited was always busy no matter what time during the day it was but this restaurant was extra busy, despite the size of it, there was a lineup but luckily we made reservations!
View from my seat
Peppercorn sirloin
Butternut squash + prawn ravioli
Calamari
Overall, this Cactus Club is a great restaurant choice for any occasion, especially dates because of the setting!

Belgian Waffles

Ever since I tried a Belgian waffle, I couldn't go back to eating regular waffles or "Eggo" waffles. Nero Belgian Waffle Bar, on Robson street of Downtown Vancouver has the best waffles I've ever tasted! The waffles are fluffy and you get to choose whether you want your waffle to be soft or crispy.
Mini waffles! Yes, I had to take some to go with me!

Sushi craving satisfied!

Every corner of Vancouver consists of some sort of Asian cuisine, many being Japanese restaurants. Now the question is, which one is worth the money? Kamei Royale was one of the first restaurant to introduce the BC Roll and the food is great. I was craving sushi and tried to order something from each page of the menu...
Huge menu book
Volcano Roll
Crunch & Munch Roll (my favorite)
Rapture Roll
Calamari Tofu (this is a must try!)
Bonsai Beef

***No, we did not finish all our food...***

Anime or real life?

Have you ever watched an anime and noticed the characters eating ramen and thought to yourself, "wow I really want some instant noodles now..." Well, I'd like to believe that I've discovered the best ramen shop in Western Canada. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka located on Robson street of Downtown Vancouver is a franchise location of the famous ramen shop started in Japan. The noodles are not instant noodles and the portion is fairly decent. Besides ordering the miso ramen, I also ordered their Japanese Cream soda which is a green soda that comes with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Weird combination but one cannot visit Santouka without ordering one!
This may look like a tiny bowl but trust me... there is more than enough in there!

Fondueee

As the saying goes, "there's always room for dessert," but when there isn't, head to Capstones Tea & Fondue (on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver) for a light treat! Who doesn't love fondue? My friend and I ordered the individual chocolate fondue with add-ons which was a total around $20 per person (which is a pretty reasonable price when compared to The Melting Pot.) The servers were quite friendly and we received excellent service, I would definitely come again.
The banana muffin was so yummy!
