Labour Day Dinner

Being a meat lover, a fan of steak in particular, The Keg is always my go to place for steak. Right before the summer ended, I took my parents to the north end location of The Keg and even with reservations, we had to wait a little over an hour. Every time I visit The Keg, it's always busy so you know they have great food!
Casesar
Mustard Salmon
Caesar salad with chicken
Top Sirloin and Atlantic Lobster Tail

Best ice-cream in Canada

Being a huge fan of sweets and especially ice-cream, I can honestly say I've discovered ice-cream heaven. After trying Earnest ice-cream, I don't think I could ever eat regular ice-cream again. Earnest is located in the middle of a neighborhood (basically like where all great eats are located in B.C.). Their restaurant closed at 10:00PM that night I went but there was a line up probably up to half a block long (I arrived at around 9:40PM), so you can see how popular it is. They only have a few ice-cream flavors but they're all delicious! They also sell pint sized ice-cream containers. I have nothing more to say other than everyone around the world needs to check out Earnest and someone needs to franchise a shop in every city!
Their ice-cream flavors
Absolutely packed at closing!
I got London Fog and Salted Caramel but another favorite of mine is the Whiskey Hazelnut (strong in nutty richness!)

Somewhere different

After hearing many people rave about Coliseum Pizza & Steak, I finally got the chance to give this place a try! I usually try places far south or in downtown so it was nice to try something different. Despite the location of this restaurant, the interior is very homely and surprisingly it is very spacious inside.
The Top Sirloin ($24.95) came with a slice of garlic toast, a potato, and I had an option of adding mushrooms. I really recommend getting the mushrooms with it because they were my favorite part. After giving us our food, the waiter came by with "condiments" for our potatoes!
New York Steak ($28.95)
I wasn't a huge fan of this Pina Colada because the taste of alcohol was really strong, it basically just tasted like rum with a coconut scent.

Bubble waffle heaven!

If you live in Vancouver or know of people who live in Vancouver, you might be familiar with Bubble Queen located in Central Richmond. They're known for their chocolate flavored bubble teas but besides that, they have a wide variety of other flavors and my favorite is their bubble waffle menu!
With too many options to choose from, I settled with the Original Milk Tea,
Bueno chocolate
Oreo and Taro bubble waffles, the taro was my favorite!
The inside of the taro, bubble waffle.

Drinks on a Sunday?!

I originally went to Joey's mainly for drinks but couldn't resist to grab something to eat too. This wouldv'e been my second time at the Jasper Ave location of Joey's, our server was quite friendly and didn't seem to mind that we were being so annoying! Also, our drinks and food arrived quite quickly! After dinner, we went to The Canadian Brewhouse for more drinks!
Fettuccine Alfredo
Lobster Grilled Cheese instead of the fries I asked for Crispy Mashed Potatoes
Stiff Lemonade - Summer Sangria x Redbull&Vodka x Bellini
Caesar
Deepfried pickle
Caesar - I actually forgot what the second drink was!

Comfort food

Do you guys remember my very first blog post? If not, I'll remind you guys... My first blgo post was dedicated to Dauphine's because I simply adore this cafe so much! There is no better remedy to a bad day, than food. With that being said, I made a trip down to Dauphine's for an iced Foggy Queen and a late brunch!
Ham & Cheese Strata
Croque Monsieur
Cream puffs x White chocolate pistachio tart

New favorite Japanese restaurant

In my honest opinion, I truly believe that 124th street has a few of the best restaurants in the city! Recently, a new all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant opened near the end of it! I've always been skeptical about Japanese all-you-can-eat places because I'm worried that the sashimi or other ingredients won't be fresh. But Watari is definitely my new favorite go to place! The food came out quick, the service was good, and most importantly everything tasted great! I eat a lot so what should have probably been a $200 bill, costed me $25 (per person/ I went with one other friend.). My friend and I nearly ordered everything on the menu, here are pictures of some of the food we ate!
I kept ordering more of these deep fried sushi rolls!
Aside from their all-you-can-eat menu, they also had a separate dessert menu which had their own price.
